Sands China Ltd., in collaboration with Alipay and Macau Pass, recently launched the Alipay Tap! service at Sands Resorts Macao.
This payment technology aims to enhance the visitor experience in Macao and foster new digital business opportunities.
Alipay Tap!, introduced in July 2024 in the mainland, allows users to complete transactions by simply tapping their phones on a merchant’s payment device, eliminating the need to open the app.
Currently available in over 100 cities, the service has gained popularity among both users and merchants.
In its initial phase, Sands China has implemented Alipay Tap! across 300 merchants in its resorts, facilitating payments for accommodations, dining, and shopping.
The launch also includes promotional offers for Chinese mainland tourists, enhancing operational efficiency and digital transformation for local businesses.
