Guangzhou | Literary Union founded to promote integration

The Greater Bay Area Literary Union has been established in Guangzhou, in a bid to promote literary integration and development in the area. Representatives from writers associations of Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macau signed an agreement, pledging to cooperate in supporting the creation of bay area themed works, literary exchanges, and talent training. The literary union will contribute to the integrated development of the greater bay area, as well as enhance its cultural soft power and core competitiveness, said Zhang Peizhong with the Guangdong Provincial Writers Association. As part of the first Greater Bay Area cultural and arts festival, a literature week was launched last Saturday.
