Six mainland Chinese, aged 24-44, have been sent to prosecutors for robbery, money laundering, and running a criminal group after allegedly stealing HKD260,000 from a mainland money exchanger at a Cotai hotel on March 30. Police said the suspects grabbed the cash during an illegal currency exchange and later tried to cover it up by transferring part of the money and leaving notes saying they “owed” it. All six were caught in two hotel rooms with evidence of the crime.
