SMG issues low-temperature warning

The Meteorological and Geophysical Bureau (SMG) has issued a yellow low-temperature warning as the region braces for a prolonged cold spell. Residents are urged to take necessary precautions to prevent hypothermia, with the Health Bureau (SSM) advising on appropriate measures. The minimum temperature is expected to drop to around 10 degrees Celsius from January 28 to January 29, the first day of the Lunar New Year. In light of the forecast, the SS urges residents to take precautions, particularly the elderly and those with chronic conditions.
