Social security subsidies raised, retroactive to January
The Chief Executive has approved increases to various social security subsidies, effective retroactively from January 1, 2025. Monthly pensions and disability allowances have been raised to MOP3,900. Unemployment subsidies are now MOP157 per day, while sickness subsidies are MOP119 per day for outpatients and MOP157 for hospitalized patients. Birth allowances rose to MOP6,500, marriage subsidies to MOP2,220, funeral subsidies to MOP2,870, and monthly relief subsidies to MOP2,570.
