The integrated resort, Studio City, hosted the “Night of Cinematic Mastery” yesterday, honoring influential filmmakers in both the Chinese-language and international film industries while celebrating its landmark achievements over the past decade through immersive cinematic experiences and a dazzling star-studded spectacle.
Dubbed the 2025 powerhouse film gala, a statement from the resort operator, Melco Resorts & Entertainment, noted that the event was co-presented with the Chinese edition of the internationally renowned fashion magazine Man About Town to celebrate Studio City’s 10th anniversary.
Approximately 60 luminaries from the film, television, art, and sports industries across Asia were invited to grace the red carpet.
As part of a series of events celebrating its 10th anniversary, Studio City – Melco’s integrated tourism and leisure resort inspired by the art of cinema – served as the venue for this event.
Leveraging core resources like Man About Town and industry expertise, the two parties jointly presented a film-themed gala that combines international vision with industry influence.
The gala featured the unveiling of multiple prestigious awards and culminated in a spectacular fireworks display that connected cinematic classics with the future.
Studio City, which opened in 2015, was recently highlighted by Taiwanese media outlet udn.com in its anniversary coverage as a unique Asian integrated resort centered around film as its overarching theme. From its architecture and entertainment facilities to experiential design, every aspect revolves around the theme of light and shadow. Featuring multiple Asia-first movie special-effects experiences, it has become a pilgrimage destination for global film enthusiasts and family travelers alike.
Meanwhile, as noted in a statement, the resort has launched a series of immersive light-and-shadow experiences, themed activities, and festive installations running through January 4, 2026, “creating a winter experience full of surprises and artistic charm.”
