Taipa crash sends rider to hospital; driver cited for fatigue

A motorcyclist was injured on July 18 in Taipa after a private car allegedly failed to yield the right of way at the junction of Estrada do Almirante Magalhães Correia and Estrada da Ponta da Cabrita, near the Sá Kong Cemetery. Dashcam footage circulating online shows the car striking a motorcycle and another vehicle, flinging the rider into the air. The accident occurred around 9 p.m. The male driver in his 20s passed a breathalyzer test but was cited for fatigued driving and failure to yield, police said. The motorcyclist sustained a left knee contusion and was taken to Kiang Wu Hospital, where he remained conscious and in stable condition.
