Man arrested after allegedly keeping MOP120,000 handbag left in taxi

A mainland Chinese man, aged about 40, has been referred to the Public Prosecutions Office on suspicion of misappropriation of lost property after allegedly keeping a handbag containing a laptop computer, jewelry, and personal belongings. The Public Security Police (PSP) received a report from a mainland female tourist who said she had left the handbag in a taxi. The total value of the items was estimated at about MOP120,000. Police used CCTV footage and in-vehicle taxi surveillance systems to identify the suspect and arrested him at a hotel entrance in the NAPE district in the early hours of Monday.
