The hourly fares at the new outdoor parking lot near Nam San Garden will range between MOP4 and MOP10 depending on vehicle type and time of day, according to yesterday’s Official Gazette.
This is the government’s first hourly-charged outdoor parking lot. It will have 41 spaces for light vehicles and 17 for heavy vehicles. The hourly daytime rates for light vehicles are MOP8 and MOP10 for heavy vehicles, while the nighttime hourly rates are MOP4 and MOP5 respectively.
The entrance and exit are located on Estrada Gov. Albano de Oliveira.
Although the operational details are confirmed, no opening date has yet been officially announced.
The parking fee increase for the Qingmao Border parking lot was also confirmed yesterday in the Official Gazette.
The daytime hourly fees for light vehicles and motorcycles will rise to MOP10 and MOP4. At night, the two fees will be MOP8 and MOP3. The price rise will take effect from midnight on Dec. 7.
The parking lot has 158 spaces for light vehicles and 207 for motorcycles.
Previously, the government announced raising the hourly fares for seven parking lots, with Qingmao included. Besides Qingmao, the remaining six parking lots will see increases next month. AL
