The Land, Public Works and Transport Bureau (DSSOPT) has opened a tender for the restructuring of the Sai Van Lake Avenue (Avenida Panorâmica do Lago Sai Van), following construction works for the LRT and the Barra Public Transport Interchange (PTI).
The restructuring works comprise of a section of the Avenida Panorâmica do Lago Sai Van between the Sai Van Bridge in the Macau peninsula and the Macau Maritime Museum, located in the Barra district.
Three construction companies have presented bids to conduct the restructuring, but one has been excluded as it was lacking a particular document, DSSOPT said in a statement. It added that the price offered by the two companies ranged between MOP25 million and MOP31 million.
DSSOPT seeks to start the process in the first quarter of next year. The works should be concluded within 120 days and will create 60 job posts.
Restructuring works will be carried out in different stages in order to reduce impact on road traffic. DSSOPT said traffic in the area would not be closed off, but it will be restricted. DSSOPT will require the contractor to adopt measures to tackle pollution issues, particularly to reduce the amount of dust generated in the area.
