Tourism | Macau well positioned in Forbes star ratings

1 hotel de luxoForbes Travel Guide unveiled its 57th list of worldwide Star Rating recipients, including 18 new five-star hotels, 46 new four-star hotels and 26 new hotels in the ‘recommended’ category.
Macau is well positioned on the list, with eight five-star hotels and nine five-star restaurants listed (see table), among other Star award winners.
As new regions of the world have been rated, the number of five-star hotels now totals 115 — the most in Forbes Travel Guide’s history.
Forbes Travel Guide also named 10 new five-star restaurants, bringing the total to 55. Seven new spas achieved Forbes Travel Guide’s highest honor, pushing the tally to 48 five-star spas, including six in Macau.
“We are delighted to recognize the 2015 Star Rating recipients, an incredible group of hotels, restaurants and spas,” said Gerard J. Inzerillo, CEO of Forbes Travel Guide. “These properties set a new standard of excellence for hospitality worldwide at an exciting moment in the global growth of luxury hospitality.”
The announcement event was held at The Ritz-Carlton, Naples.
