Tourism | MGTO wins award in Thailand

The Macau Government Tourist Office (MGTO) has been presented with the Best National Tourism Office of Travel Services Award at the 23rd Incentive Travel & Conventions and Meetings Asia (IT&CMA 2015) conference that took place in Thailand from Sept. 29 to Oct. 1.
MGTO led a delegation of local industry partners as part of its plans to promote Macau as a destination for business travel. The office’s booth was based on the theme “Touching Moments, Experience Macau” and partnered with around 30 enterprises to present products and facilities relating to Macau’s tourism business opportunities. The MGTO also took the opportunity to advertise its “Travel Stimulation Program” among incentive travel organizers.
On the closing day of IT&CMA 2015, MGTO was awarded the Best National Tourism Office of Travel Services Awards in acknowledgement of its excellent work as a tourism-promoting entity. MGTO had been selected as the winner through a selection process by tourism industry professionals.
IT&CMA 2015 was hosted in Bangkok, providing a platform for industry partners to promote incentive travel. It was attended  by around 900 exhibitors, and 400 industry buyers from about 50 countries and regions. International industry buyers from India, Poland, and the U.S. accounted for the biggest proportion of participants this year.
