Visa has joined with Hong Kong Tramways to provide special discounts on fares paid with the brand’s payment cards.
From July 6 to Dec. 31 this year, passengers who tap to pay for their tram fare with Visa contactless using credit, debit and prepaid cards, or via their mobile wallet provisioned with a Visa card, may enjoy a discount of HKD1 for every single ride priced at HKD3. Visa said it is a strategy to conserve the special mode of transport.
Meanwhile, the payment card brand has also announced a strategic partnership with Hong Kong’s New World Development (NWD), to launch the K Dollar Visa rewards program. Shoppers at NWD’s malls, including K11 MUSEA, K11 Art Mall and the imminent 11 SKIES, will be rewarded when paying with Visa.
When 11 SKIES, the 3.8-million-square-foot complex adjacent to the Hong Kong International Airport opens, additional perks will be offered, Visa announced.
