Two new exhibitions – “Walk and See — Youth Artist Art Exhibition” and “As Memory Whispers — Exhibition by Cai Guo Jie” – are being showcased at the recently opened Nam Van Lake gallery. Both events, co-organised by the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC) and the Macau Artist Society, are part of the Anim’Arte Nam Van project.
The “Walk and See — Youth Artist Art Exhibition” features over 60 artworks by local artists, and includes paintings, sculptures and installation projects.
The artists hope that the exhibition will help the public understand about the necessary insights and persistence required in the creation of art , according to the IC’s press release. They also hope the public can support the development of local art by purchasing artworks on-site.
“As Memory Whispers — Exhibition by Cai Guo Jie” features 14 paintings.
Focusing on the topic of “recording” and “documenting”, the artist explores cultural modules, the compilation of articles, and image loggings.
Both exhibitions will be open until September 20 daily from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Admission is free.
