Walking trail planned for Taipa Houses-Museum lake

The Civic and Municipal Affairs Bureau (IACM) announced recently that it plans to build a 1.8-kilometer walking trail at the Taipa House Museum.

The three meter-wide trail will be located beside the lake in front of the museum. Its first segment will surround the lake, with all segments totaling a distance of 1.8km. The trail’s 130-meter north segment will connect the garden to the Taipa House Museum square. The west section of the trail will be around 460 meters long from the garden to the Estrada Da Baía de Nossa Senhora da Esperança, and will feature two landscape platforms. The south segment will stretch for 500 meters along the lake next to the Estrada Da Baía de Nossa Senhora da Esperanca. In the middle of this section, two platforms will be available as resting zones from which members of the public can observe the lake.

Bidding for the project will take place this year with a construction period of approximately one year and a budget of MOP40 million.
