Wealth Partaking | Scheme 81.9 percent of cheques withdrawn

The distribution of allowances under the Wealth Partaking Scheme “basically finished on 30 September,” according to the Finance Services Bureau. A total of 182,532 beneficiaries received the cash handout by bank transfer, accounting for MOP1,608,883,200, while 482,856 cheques were mailed, amounting to MOP4,160,613,600. As of yesterday, 395,223 cheques had been withdrawn, representing 81.9 percent of the total number of cheques written out.
The Finance Services Bureau also commented that their Support Centre for Wealth Parking Disbursement has handled 25,620 enquiries since it opened on July 6. Most of the visitors to the center which is located in Avenida da Praia Grande were requesting the re-issuance of cheques (4,053 cases).
The Support Centre ceased operations yesterday, but residents can still go to the Civil and Municipal Affairs Bureau Service Centre if they have any questions relating to the Wealth Partaking Scheme of present or previous years.
