Woman loses MOP85,000 in crypto investment scam

A local woman reported losing MOP85,000 after falling victim to a virtual currency scam. She met a male acquaintance online in July, who encouraged her to download an unfamiliar investment app. Initially investing MOP10,000, the account showed small gains, prompting her to invest an additional MOP75,000. In October, she attempted to withdraw her funds but could not access the app, and the man went offline. The Judiciary Police are investigating, and no arrests have been made.
