Gaming operator Wynn Macau is offering two extra days of leave to team members who are willing to be vaccinated in the city’s vaccination scheme against Covid-19.
According to an internal memo from the New Macau Gaming Staff Rights Association, the leave will be applied to team members working in its properties in the amount of one day per vaccinated dose.
Each vaccine recipient is required to undergo two doses to develop full immunity – which need to take place three to four weeks apart.
The leave can be taken on the day of the vaccination or the next day.
The Times is aware that several hotel operators are encouraging their team members to undergo the vaccination scheme – particularly those who are in service departments such as housekeeping or food and beverage.
The most up-to-date data from the Health Bureau shows that a total of 46,333 bookings
have been made for
vaccination, with 21,056 residents already vaccinated with either the Sinopharm or BioNTech vaccine.
Vaccination for the general population began at Conde S. Januario Hospital on February 22, following the vaccination of priority groups including frontline personnel and groups with a high risk of occupational exposure, among others.
Vaccination in Macau is taking place on a voluntary basis.
