Macau recorded 4,206 transactions involving building units and parking spaces in the first half of 2026, up 1,516 from the same period last year, according to the Statistics and Census Service (DSEC). The total value of transactions rose 46.7% to MOP14.94 billion, including MOP12.54 billion from 2,885 residential units.
However, the property market slowed in the second quarter, with 1,864 units and parking spaces changing hands, down 20.4% quarter-over-quarter. Transaction value fell 20.1% to MOP6.64 billion, following a surge in sales in the previous quarter driven by newly launched properties.
Residential transactions fell 341 units to 1,272, while their total value dropped 24.6% to MOP5.39 billion. Existing-home transactions declined 22.4% in volume and 26.9% in value.
The average residential price fell 4.3% quarter-over-quarter to MOP64,603 per square meter. Prices declined on the Macau Peninsula but increased in Taipa and Coloane.
