Fourteen-day quarantine for entrants from Macau to Zhuhai will be lifted noontime tomorrow (Tuesday) if no new Covid-19 infection is detected in Macau by then, the local government announced this morning (Monday).
According to a notice given by the competent Zhuhai authorities, these entrants will be required to hold 48-hour negative SARS-CoV-2 nucleic acid test (NAT) results.
However, three groups of individuals will not be accepted unless they fulfill certain conditions. For close contacts of Covid-19 patients, as well as residents in Red and Yellow Zones, they cannot enter Zhuhai within seven days of the conclusion of their quarantine.
Meanwhile, workers of high-risk positions will not be accepted within 14 days of their shifts.
Tomorrow will also see the reopening of entertainment venues previously ordered to suspend operations by the Chief Executive on disease control grounds.
These venues included cinemas, theaters, indoor playgrounds, game arcades, computer parlors, snooker and billiards parlors, bowling lanes, saunas, massage parlors, beauty parlors, gyms, health clubs, karaokes, bars, nightclubs, discos and dancing rooms.
The order to close these facilities had come into effect October 6.
Last year, the government has also ordered these venues to close once.
