Applications opened today for the Macau Catering Industry Smart Upgrade Program 2026, running through Jan. 23. Organized by the Macau Catering Industry Association and implemented by the Macau Productivity and Technology Transfer Center (CPTTM), the initiative targets small- and medium-sized dine-in restaurants with up to 100 employees. Successful applicants, selected by lottery, can receive subsidies covering up to 80% of costs – capped at MOP50,000 – for purchasing smart or automated equipment, including transport, installation, and first-year maintenance. Equipment must come from CPTTM’s catalog or local suppliers offering at least one year of after-sales service.
