Artyzen Grand Lapa hosts Kay Zhang solo exhibition at Amagao Gallery

Artyzen Grand Lapa Macau and Amagao Gallery have opened “Delta of Venus”, a solo exhibition by Chinese artist Kay Zhang, co-organized by the 1844 Macau Espaço de Arte Fotográfica Association.

The exhibition presents 48 works in drawing, watercolor, and collage on paper, including pieces incorporating book pages and covers. Zhang, who is based between Macau and Beijing, draws on Macau’s layered cultural context in her artistic practice.

“Over the years, my work has always been connected to literature, memory and the body,” said Zhang. “This exhibition feels both like a reflection and a new beginning. It brings together works from different periods, but also marks a return to making with my hands, to collage, to painting, and to a more intuitive and personal way of creating. I hope visitors can take their time, look closely, and find their own connection within these works.”

The exhibition runs until June 7 at Amagao Gallery in Artyzen Grand Lapa Macau.
