Bordeaux Wine Feast

An Exquisite Night of World Class Bordeaux Wines” was held at Wynn Macau last week. The event brought together 24 top Bordeaux wineries, presenting a wine extravaganza directly from France. MDT had the opportunity to mingle with experts from these wineries and experienced firsthand the style of many renowned estates.

The two-day event featured a series of exciting activities, including a Bordeaux Wine Masterclass, a Bordeaux wine dinner prepared by Wynn’s star chef team, and a wine tasting event, allowing wine lovers to immerse themselves in the rich charm of Bordeaux wonders. 

One of the highlights was Wine Masterclass by Debra Meiburg. Master of Wine Debra Meiburg MW has lived in Hong Kong for nearly 30 years. She is an award-winning author, television personality, and international speaker, and a leading authority in the Asian wine market. She also serves as a wine consultant for Cathay Pacific and Chair of the Education Committee of the Masters of Wine Association. Debra MW was conducting a masterclass to explore the finest wines from Bordeaux’s top châteaux, sharing her unique insights into this classic 2015 vintage through a selection.

Finally, the Bordeaux wine dinner was crafted by Helder Sequeira Amaral, Executive Chef of Wynn Steakhouse (Wynn Palace’s premier American steakhouse), and Executive Chef Zhang Zhicheng, featuring a fusion of Western and Chinese cuisine, paired with a selection of Bordeaux wines including Les Griffons de Pichon Baron 2023, Château Brane-Cantenac Blanc 2021, and Château Bellefont-Belcier 2018, elevating the culinary experience.

A separate wine tasting area was also set up on-site, bringing together 18 renowned Bordeaux estates from France to present their prized large-format wines, making it an unmissable Bordeaux feast for wine and food lovers.
