The Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC) will organize an exhibition to showcase the construction plans for the new central library project. The exhibition will open October 31 at the Old Court Building, where the new library is expected to be built. The exhibition will then be moved to the current central library at Tap Seac Square, and from there to Taipa Library until its close December 31.

Mozambique Attorney General visits Macau

Mozambique Attorney General Beatriz Buchili is leading a delegation in an official visit to Macau. The group arrived in Macau last Sunday and will leave the region October 29, according to a notice published by the Public Prosecutions Office (MP). The delegation was invited to the region by the MP. On Monday morning, high officials of the MP met with Ms. Beatriz Buchili, in order to discuss each other’s operations and in particular, changes to legislation regarding crime prevention. Between tomorrow and Friday, the Public Prosecutor-General of Macau, Ip Son Sang, will accompany the delegation in a visit to Guangdong’s prosecution organization.

Zhuhai announces latest anti-corruption results

In the first nine months of this year, Zhuhai prosecuted 15 high officials involved in corruption cases and established 275 corruption-related cases, according to a report by Jornal Va Kio. Additionally, 192 civil servants were given the Chinese Communist Party’s disciplinary punishment, while 11 people were forwarded to judiciary organizations. The city’s prosecution authority received 147 reports regarding infractions made on-duty and investigated 62 people for committing crimes while on-duty, of whom 14 were arrested. The city also arrested one fleeing criminal who was listed on the Chinese-national wanted list on charges of corruption.
