Cat accidentally turns on stove, sparks apartment fire

A fire broke out on Saturday on the 20th floor of a residential building on Avenida do Conselheiro Ferreira de Almeida, allegedly caused by a cat accidentally switching on a ceramic stove. Firefighters arrived at the scene and used hoses to extinguish the blaze. About 30 residents evacuated safely to the ground floor on their own. Three people reported feeling unwell but did not require hospitalization.
