CEM announces 10% cut in public EV charging tariffs

Companhia de Electricidade de Macau (CEM) will reduce public electric vehicle (EV) charging tariffs by about 10% starting 1 February. According to the company, the adjustment is intended to encourage residents to adopt EVs when purchasing or replacing vehicles. Under the new rates, slow charging will cost MOP1.280 per kWh during low-load hours (8 p.m. to 9 a.m.) and MOP1.940 per kWh during full-load hours (9 a.m. to 8 p.m.). Medium-speed charging will be MOP2.680 per kWh, and fast charging MOP3.100 per kWh, both available 24 hours a day.
