Studio City has been selected as one of the locations to film the 4D movie “Cook Up a Storm,” also known as “Feng Wei Jiang Hu.”
The movie is about a dramatic contest among international Michelin-starred chefs. As a prelude to the movie, lead actors Nicholas Tse and Jung Yong Hwa teamed up with Studio City’s Michelin- starred chef yesterday to show off their culinary skills, and to draw inspiration.
The movie builds on the legacy of “Chef Nic,” a 12-episode food travelogue reality program starring Nicholas Tse and featuring different celebrity guests. To offer everyone a chance to participate in the filming of this blockbuster movie, Studio City will launch a cast recruitment program in the lead-up to the release. Starting from May 10, 2016, all interested individuals can join the competition via Studio City’s official Weibo account.
Director Raymond Yip Wai-
man gathered the main cast – including Nicholas Tse, Jung Yong Hwa, Ge You, Michelle Bai, Anthony Wong Chau Sang and Tiffany Tang Yan – at Foshan yesterday for the start of filming. According to a press release by Melco Crown, “Foshan is the first location for the film before the entire crew moves to Studio City for the most important shoots – the contest among the international Michelin- starred chefs.”
