Forbes Travel Guide has again named MGM Macau as a Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star Hotel.

Grant Bowie, CEO and executive director of MGM China, said, “I’d like to thank every member of our staff who strives for excellence and to make great moments for our guests through high quality product and service offerings.”

“We are truly honored to once again be recognized as a top luxury travel destination in the world, and will continue to drive excellence on all levels of our services,” the executive said in a statement.

MGM Macau has approximately 600 guest rooms and suites and boasts unique features such as the European-inspired Grande Praça, housed under a glass ceiling.

Bene celebrates regional Italian cuisine

Continuing the journey of discovering Italian cuisine, Bene Food & Wine Mercato has moved from Veneto in the south to the northeast region of Emilia-Romagna. 

The Sheraton Grand Macao said in a statement that its Italian trattoria will explore the cuisine of one of Italy’s wealthiest regions on March 2 and 3.

Located in northeast Italy, Emilia-Romagna is renowned for its creative industries and gastronomy.

The fertile land has produced some of Italy’s most iconic dishes, from tortellini pasta to prosciutto di parma. Parmesan cheese and balsamic vinegar also originate from this productive region in the Po Valley.

Hosting an Italian feast at the start of each month, Bene’s Executive Sous Chef Luca Pecorari has curated a special menu for March to highlight the region’s best cuisine.

The “splendido” selection includes tortellini dumpling stuffed with parma ham and parmigiana, deep-fried seafood with spicy arrabbiata sauce, traditional Emilian hen broth and slow-roasted piglet in Romagna style, all paired with wines.

It will also feature live cooking stations, appearances by wine professionals, and artisanal retail products.
