UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador David Beckham was back in town over the weekend, and spent time Saturday afternoon with members of Macau Special Olympics (MSO) at The Venetian, after a meet-and-greet event with Sands China team members.
The MSO athletes presented Beckham with a special T-shirt they had decorated with their own handmade design. The global icon returned the gesture by signing a Macau Special Olympics t-shirt and presenting it to MSO as a memento of the occasion. He also took the opportunity to chat with the MSO members, offering words of encouragement to the athletes, before joining them for a group photo to commemorate the visit.
Before spending time with the MSO athletes, Beckham met with around 100 Sands China team members, who asked the entrepreneur to share his thoughts about service culture and teamwork. Many of the attendees were winners in previous editions of “Because We Care Team Member Awards” and “Because We Know” company knowledge competitions. Beckham and the team members then marked the occasion with a group photo.
