Four Seasons Hotel Macao will host its annual charity event, Run of Hope Macau, for the tenth consecutive year on November 25, with the theme “Superhero.”
The choice of theme intends to applaud the everyday heroes in the ongoing fight against cancer, including cancer patients and their families, medical professionals, and participants of Run of Hope.
Participants are encouraged to dress up as their favorite superhero and will have the chance to win best costume prizes, the hotel noted in a statement.
Interested participants can sign up online and choose between a 5.6km run or 3km family leisure hike.
Admission is MOP250 for adults and MOP125 for children aged 13 and below.
All funds raised are donated to Kiang Wu Hospital for cancer research initiatives and Evangelize China Fellowship Orphanage.
Supplementary activities will take place so that those who are not able to take part in the Run can show their compassion and support, with two programs: Cocktails for a Cause and Silent Auction.
GEG donates MOP200,000 to caritas Macau
Galaxy Entertainment Group has supported the annual Caritas Macau Charity Bazaar, which was held last weekend at the Nam Van Nautical Centre, for the eighth consecutive year by organizing volunteers to work at the game booths.
Funds raised were given to Caritas Macau in order to support their community outreach programs for the underprivileged.
At the opening ceremony, Philip Cheng, director of GEG, presented a cheque for MOP 200,000 to Paul Pun, secretary general of Caritas Macau.
A group of 50 GEG volunteers manned the prize game booths they had created and presented various home appliances and homeware as prizes for the winners. Cheng said, “It is our goal to encourage more people to care for the community and to create opportunities for team members to contribute to society through collaborations with these groups,” as cited in a statement issued by the gaming operator.
