Sands China Ltd. received its second batch of products from Guizhou’s Congjiang County yesterday at The Venetian Macao’s loading bay.
The gaming operator was the first integrated tourism and leisure enterprise in Macau to purchase goods from the county, and with this shipment, is now the first to purchase fresh produce as well, the company noted in a statement.
Initiated by the Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM), the procurement drive seeks to strengthen cooperation between enterprises in Congjiang County and Macau, and to support mainland China’s nationwide poverty alleviation work.
This latest shipment comprised 5,000 kilograms of mandarin oranges, 300 boxes of chili sauce and 600 boxes of bottled water.
The goods were purchased from Congjiang through local Macau SME suppliers Produtos Alimentares de Restauracao Man Seng Limitada and Tak Seng Hang.
Sands China pledged in a statement that it will continue to explore and expand the range of agricultural products purchased from Congjiang in the future.
Wynn recognizes graduates of leadership program
To further promote the development of the industry and nurture talents, Wynn rolled out the “Leadership Acceleration Program” in 2016, providing a 4-month development program to members of management across a variety of positions.
The program is designed to upgrade participants’ planning, organizing and communicating capabilities, the gaming operator noted in a statement.
The courses combine theory and practical applications, and include overseas training and a series of internal courses so participants can learn and practice management skills in a professional and open environment.
Wynn recently held a graduation ceremony for the program’s most recent participants. Forty-two graduates were presented with certificates recognizing their learning efforts and achievements.
The program graduation ceremony was held at Wynn Palace, and participants shared that they had enhanced their personal management skills, professional knowledge and communications skills through the program.
Since launching the program, Wynn has organized six rounds of training, with 80 team members successfully completing all courses.
