Creative Pavilion to be showcased at MIF

2_IC0119102015The Macau Creative Pavilion will be showcased at the 20th Macao International Trade and Investment Fair (MIF), to be held from tomorrow at the Cotai Strip Convention and Exhibition Centre for the sixth consecutive year.
This year, printed and digital versions of the Macau Cultural and Creative Map (MCC Map) will be promoted and distributed free of charge at the fair. In addition, a number of products from cultural and creative entities, displayed on the MCC Map, will be available for viewing by the general public.
In order to promote the printed map, its accompanying mobile app and the cultural and creative entities featured within, 22 of the entities will showcase selected wares, such as design products, clothing and accessories, books and periodicals, visual art and musical works at the fair.
The purpose of the MCC Map is to familiarize visitors with local  cultural and creative entities, and to facilitate a deeper understanding of Macau’s diverse culture. The map currently covers the city’s seven parishes and highlights the local cultural and creative entities in the area through dynamic illustrations and simple text. It also includes information about World Heritage sites, museums and bus routes.
Four itineraries were developed to connect different cultural and creative spaces and World Heritage sites, guiding visitors through a pre-planned journey to appreciate the historical value of locations within Macau. The use of the MCC Map is expected to be a useful reference source for travellers, whilst also providing them with insight into the literary and artistic elements of the city. Staff reporter
