Crime | Construction site brawl leaves 6 wounded

Six people have been injured – one of them suffering serious injuries- after taking part in a brawl yesterday morning. The incident involved a total of 13 people, with seven of the participants fleeing the scene. They are currently being sought by police.
Authorities say that seven individuals were removing materials from the construction site of the Studio City resort when six workers tried to stop them from doing so. A quarrel arose and a fight broke out between the two groups.
All of the wounded are workers are between 22 and 46 years of age. Six of them are from mainland China, while one is a local resident.
The Health Bureau (SSM) issued a statement about the incident, saying that all injured parties were taken to the Conde de São Januário Central Hospital (CHCSJ) and remained fully conscious during the medical procedures.
The most seriously injured worker was subject to a computerized tomography to verify the extent of the trauma to his head and chest. According to the SSM, he remains in stable condition in the emergency ward. The remaining persons involved in the brawl suffered minor bruises and scratches and have been discharged from hospital. PB
