Crime | PJ caught three local youngsters during anti-drug operation

The Judiciary Police (PJ) has caught three 20-year-old residents suspected of selling and consuming hashish, the police force informed.
One of the three suspects (two males and one female) is a student in a local public school.
The arrest occurred in the early hours of Wednesday morning at the Outer Harbour Ferry Terminal when one of the male suspects attempted to reenter the territory following a short trip to the neighboring region. He was found with 22 rolls of hashish concealed in cigarette papers and hidden in his underwear.
According to the PJ, the drugs (154 grams in total) would have a market value of around MOP80,000.
According to the testimony of the suspects to the PJ, the drugs were en route to the third arrested suspect, who would pay the alleged courier MOP200 per roll smuggled into Macau.
The arrest was made following a tip-off by an anonymous source, who told the PJ that one of the suspects was smuggling drugs from Hong Kong into Macau on a regular basis.
With the courier was his alleged girlfriend who was also arrested.
Presented to the Public Prosecutions Office (MP) yesterday, the two males were put in preventive custody, while the girl was detained for interrogation facing charges of drug abuse.  RM
