Documentary celebrates 20 years of Macau’s world heritage

To mark the 20th anniversary of Macau’s Historic Centre as a UNESCO World Heritage site, the Cultural Affairs Bureau and CCTV co-produced Macau: Open-Air Museum. Premiering on CCTV-9 in December, the documentary is now online via CCTV’s website and YouTube. Featuring residents, students, heritage experts, and Macanese artists, it highlights Macau’s East-West architectural fusion, preservation efforts, and cultural heritage practices. The film showcases how local communities maintain and transmit Macau’s unique historical and cultural identity.
