DSAJ expands fully digital commercial registration services

The Legal Affairs Bureau (DSAJ) has further expanded its fully digital commercial registration services in a bid to streamline corporate administrative procedures and reinforce the government’s e-governance agenda.
The new online offering now covers share transfers, dismissal and appointment of company board members, and amendments to articles of association.
Under the expanded system, applicants can use the “Business & Association Platform” and Macao One Account to prepare registration documents, submit applications, pay fees, and obtain certified copies entirely over the internet.
The service is available for four categories of transactions: share transfer with articles of association amendment; dismissal/appointment with articles of association amendment; a combination of transfer, dismissal/appointment, and articles of association amendment; and standalone articles of association amendment.
This launch builds on a series of earlier e-services introduced by the bureau, including declarations of continued business-name use, first-time registration of natural-person commercial enterprise owners, address changes, cancellation of enterprise owner registrations, business-name registrability certificates, company incorporation, and company address changes.
With the latest addition, the bureau said the digital commercial registration portfolio now covers a more comprehensive range of company-related matters, from startup incorporation to post-establishment modifications.
Online applications for company incorporation and first-time natural-person enterprise owner registration each exceeded 50% of eligible submissions.
Address-change and enterprise-cancellation filings accounted for roughly 40% each, while declarations for continued business-name use topped 90% online.
The DSAJ’s digital services currently span five broad areas: commercial registration, vehicle registration, property registration, civil registration, and notarization.
