The Light Rail Transit (LRT) operator is offering free rides from Sept. 29 to Oct. 1 to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the PRC and the opening of the Macau Bridge. This initiative allows both residents and visitors to enjoy complimentary access, with no tickets required. The LRT will also extend its operating hours from Oct. 1 – 7 to accommodate increased visitor traffic during the National Day holiday. Both residents and visitors may take advantage of the fare-free period, with the operator noting that passengers “do not need to buy tickets but they should follow the instructions of the LRT staff to enter and exit the gates.” Additionally, on Oct. 1, public buses will be free of charge.
