Galaxy retains leading position in EarthCheck certifications

Galaxy Entertainment Group (GEG) has maintained its leading position in Macau for EarthCheck certifications, while Banyan Tree Macau has become the first hotel in the city to achieve Platinum certification under the global sustainability program.
In a statement to the press, GEG said it continues to support the “dual carbon” goals of the Chinese government and the Macau SAR through a range of environmental initiatives across its integrated resort and MICE operations.
This year, multiple GEG properties achieved new or upgraded EarthCheck ratings. Banyan Tree Macau marked its 10th consecutive year of certification and advanced to Platinum status.
Galaxy Hotel was upgraded to Gold certification, while Capella at Galaxy Macau, Raffles at Galaxy Macau, Andaz Macau, Hotel Okura Macau, and the Galaxy International Convention Center all received Silver certification.
GEG said the results reinforce its position as the Macau integrated tourism operator with the highest number of EarthCheck-certified properties.
