Galaxy, UTM Launch new talent development program

Galaxy Entertainment Group (GEG) hosted an Integrated Resort (IR) Talent Empowerment Showcase on Sunday and signed a memorandum of understanding with Macao University of Tourism (UTM) to launch the new “Integrated Resort Innovative Service Experts Program” (IRISE Program).

Held at The Ritz-Carlton, Macau, the event highlighted strengthened industry-academia collaboration aimed at cultivating integrated resort professionals with international perspectives and industry expertise.

The partnership also extends the “Experience Macao with GEG” initiative introduced in 2024, which promotes understanding of Macau’s cultural heritage among frontline tourism workers.

Speaking at the ceremony, UTM rector Fanny Vong said the collaboration would help nurture professionals with strong technical skills and global outlooks.

GEG director Philip Cheng said the partnership would further enhance local talent cultivation and support Macau’s economic diversification goals.

GEG said its training initiatives have benefited more than 500 local talents to date.
