Sands China drew nearly 100 entrepreneurs and SME representatives last Friday for a briefing on its “Community Revitalization Programme 2.0 for Rua das Estalagens” and the inaugural Shop Rebranding Program.
According to Sands China, the session – which took place at its Londoner Macao property – centered on operational clarity. It outlined policy, licensing, and utilities support opportunities in the historic district.
Officials including Stella Ho of the Economic and Technological Development Bureau (DSEDT) highlighted measures including the Young Entrepreneurs Aid Scheme, SME Aid Scheme, and SME Bank Loan Interest Subsidy Scheme. Ho encouraged aspiring entrepreneurs to leverage these resources, available to Macau residents, to ease start-up funding pressures.
In another presentation, representatives from the Municipal Affairs Bureau (IAM) outlined licensing procedures, including the “one-stop licensing system” and new regulations governing food and beverage operations for attendees.
Applications for both Rua das Estalagens provisions close on June 30.
