GEG holds respectful workplace workshop with women’s association

Galaxy Entertainment Group and the Women’s General Association of Macau recently held a workshop for nearly 200 employees at Banyan Tree Macau, aiming to provide information on creating a respectful workplace.

Focusing on psychological and legal perspectives, the workshop discussed workplace discrimination and harassment, as well as the prevention of domestic violence.

According to a press release from the gaming operator, Lao Chan Fong, Psychology Director at the Psychotherapy Center of The Women’s General Association of Macau introduced some basic ideas on maintaining a respectful workplace. He then provided tips on preventing discrimination and harassment and also discussed appropriate measures for dealing with issues that may arise.

Meanwhile, Bernardete Fan, Senior Associate of Manuela António Lawyers and Notaries, followed with an overview of the relevant laws in Macau.

Galaxy said that workshop participants reported they had developed a better understanding of the current situation of gender equity in the workplace.
