Gov’t steps up mosquito control with 8,900 inspections

The Health Bureau announced that as of July, the Community Health Task Force had carried out over 8,900 inspections of stagnant water and mosquito breeding sites. Mosquito control teams also conducted more than 1,500 chemical operations in about 140 high-risk areas linked to “double fever” cases. Since June, authorities have expanded interdepartmental cooperation, completing around 230 joint inspections at construction sites, schools, hotels, and public spaces to eliminate breeding grounds and strengthen prevention efforts.
