The Transport Bureau (DSAT) will implement stricter regulations from March 15 to curb irregularities in northbound vehicle travel, targeting drivers who bypass online pre-booking requirements when entering Guangdong Province. Under the new rules, vehicles found entering mainland China without prior online booking will face quota suspensions ranging from one to three months for Macau-Hong Kong crossings via the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge. First-time offenders will be barred from accessing three areas for one month: Guangdong crossings, private vehicle quotas for Hong Kong travel, and automated parking services at Hong Kong border facilities. Repeat violations will result in a three-month suspension.
