Gov’t to finalize environmental plan, waste strategy this year

The Environmental Protection Bureau (DSPA) said it expects to complete the Environmental Protection Plan (2026-2030) and a study on solid waste management measures by the end of this year. The strategy will focus on expanding recycling facilities and community collection networks, while reducing household waste at the source. The bureau added that a new organic resource recovery center and glass bottle recycling facility are scheduled to begin operations in 2027, boosting the city’s recycling capacity and supporting the long-term development of the recycling industry.
