The Hengqin-Macao Enterprise Secretarial Platform for Government Affairs was officially launched late last week, offering a tailored service system for Macau-funded enterprises and investors entering Hengqin.
The platform aims to streamline cross-border government services, reduce operational obstacles, and enhance the business environment for local enterprises.
As of September, Hengqin hosts 59,700 active market entities, including 7,449 Macau-funded enterprises – a 60.6% increase since Hengqin’s establishment and 14 times the overall enterprise growth rate. Macau-funded companies now account for 13.2% of the total, reflecting the “Macau + Hengqin” synergy.
The platform follows a “government guidance + community coordination + enterprise participation” model, providing services covering business registration, location setup, operational support, policy alignment, and development assistance.
According to authorities, the platform addresses systemic challenges, such as adaptation to local procedures, non-standardized intermediary services, and limited government resources.
Services are delivered through both online and offline channels, with a green channel for high-frequency issues and dedicated secretaries offering personalized follow-ups.
The initiative seeks to cover more than 7,000 local enterprises and investors, positioning the platform as a testing ground for aligning regulations and a first stop for Macau residents and companies integrating into Hengqin.
