Jason Ho Kin Tong’s tenure as a member of the Board of Trustees of the Fund for the Development of Science and Technology (FDCT) will come to an end this month, as his father, Ho Iat Seng, chose not to renew his mandate. In addition to the renewal not being announced in the Official Gazatte, FDCT also confirmed Ho’s departure to Portuguese newspaper Hoje Macau, citing “personal reasons” as the basis for his decision not to continue. Ho’s appointment to FDCT by his father in September 2022 garnered controversy amidst suggestions that it created a conflict of interest.
