Macau bars poultry imports from Argentina’s H5 avian flu zone

The Municipal Affairs Bureau (IAM) has restricted imports of poultry and poultry products from General Viamonte Province in Argentina following an outbreak of highly pathogenic H5 avian influenza. Imported fresh food must undergo mandatory inspection and quarantine, with health certificates confirming products come from non-affected areas. IAM said it will continue monitoring global animal health reports and enforce strict checks on all poultry imports and sales in Macau, notifying importers of the restrictions and preventive measures.
