Macau inc. | Crowne Plaza gives details on second phase of development

Dominique Berhouet, general manager of Crowne Plaza Macau, discusses the plans for the development of the hotel’s Phase II in the February issue of Macau Inc., which is out now.

Interviewed by the magazine, Berhouet pledged to provide a “full range of distinguished living experiences” when the hotel’s next phase opens. This phase will include the development of a serviced luxury apartment with about 270 suites.

In an article titled “From the Boardroom to the Sea”, Mark McWhinnie, Sands senior vice president of Resort Operations and Development, reveals how he recently completed an ocean marathon and raised charity contributions to fund the Abandoned Animals Protection Association of Macau.

He participated in a 15 kilometer runaround the area of Hong Kong near its southern Beaches of Repulse Bay and Deepwater Bay, raising a total of MOP90,000 from individual cash donations. Sands China matched the donation through its Sands Cares program – leading to a total contribution of MOP180,000.

This month’s edition of Macau Inc. also features highlights of different events and activities in the region, including the 3rd Printmaking Triennial and the Macau Fringe Festival.
