Macau lashed by heavy rain as red storm warning stays for over three hours

The local weather station issued yellow and red rainstorm warnings yesterday morning as the outer rainbands associated with Severe Tropical Storm Noul brought persistent heavy downpours to the territory. The red warning remained in force for more than three hours, with monitoring stations across the city recording widespread rainfall accumulations exceeding 83 millimeters. The Avenida dos Jogos da Ásia Oriental station recorded the highest total of 95.6 millimeters, while significant rainfall of at least 90 millimeters was also measured at Taipa Grande, Coloane, Ka Ho, and Barra. The unsettled weather is expected to persist over the coming week.
