Macauslot to cut 26 non-local workers by next year
The Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau (DICJ) announced yesterday that Macau Slot Co. Ltd. (Macauslot) will reduce its non-local workforce by 15%, with 26 positions to be cut by the end of the first quarter of next year, accounting for 35% of the current non-professional non-local workforce. The authorities stated that the lottery company’s decision is in line with the government’s relevant policy direction, as a condition for its contract renewal, to ensure priority employment for local residents and the fulfillment of social responsibilities.
